Welcome to The Dawn Slade-Faull Award

The Dawn Slade-Faull Award commemorates the life of Dawn Slade-Faull; an artist and a great advocate for people with a disability.

The Award is intended to encourage people with a disability who show promise as artists or craftspeople, and can provide assistance for their professional development.

Inaugurated in 1988, over 50 artists have received assistance from the Trust Fund. Artists and craftspeople from a diverse range of disciplines have received awards, including painters, potters, jewellers, quilters, woodworkers, etc, etc. Over the years the Award has been presented by outstanding South Australians including Governors His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce, Sir Eric Neal and Mrs. Marjorie Jackson-Nelson, and past Premiers David Tonkin and Don Dunstan.
